What you see at Hong Island
"Hong" means "room" in Thai: the main island is hollow, with a lagoon of calm green water closed in by high limestone walls and open to the sea only through a narrow channel.
The Hong lagoon. Boats and kayaks enter through the gap in the cliffs. Inside, the walls rise straight from the water and there is no swell.
The beach of Koh Hong. On the outside of the island there is a white sand beach with clear water for swimming and snorkeling.
Pak Bia and Lading. Small islands near Koh Hong with rocks, little beaches and coral, used as swim stops on the way.
The islands are part of a national park, so a park fee may apply on the day. It is not included in the boat price.
