Who we are

Charter Krabi is a licensed travel agency in Thailand that arranges private boat and yacht charters. We are responsible for the personal data collected through this website. For any privacy question, write to info@charterkrabi.com.

What data we collect

Booking and contact forms. When you send a request, we receive what you enter: your name, email, phone number, the date of the trip, the number of guests, the route, your hotel and room and your message. We also receive the name of the boat or page you sent the request from.

Messages. If you write to us by email or WhatsApp, we receive your message and your contact details.

Technical data. Like any website, our server keeps standard technical logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested and time. We use them only to keep the site secure and to fix errors.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to see which pages are useful and how well our ads work. They collect data such as pages visited, device type and approximate location. See "Cookies" below.

The website has no user accounts and does not take payments: we never ask for card details on the site. Payment for a charter is arranged directly with our team, as described in the terms and conditions.

Why we use it

• to answer your request, confirm availability and price and send you a confirmation email;
• to organise your trip: boat, crew, route and meeting point;
• to protect the booking form from spam and abuse;
• to understand how the site is used and to improve it and our advertising.

We use your data to answer and fulfil your request and, for analytics, on the basis of our legitimate interest in running and improving the site. We do not send newsletters.

Who receives your data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with those who need it to provide the service:

• the company that owns the boat you book (its owner) - only the booking details: name, phone, date and number of guests. The captain and crew do not receive your personal data;
• our technical providers: website hosting and email, and the Telegram messenger, which our booking team uses to receive new requests;
• Google, for analytics and advertising.

Some of these providers are located outside Thailand and outside your country. We use only well-known services that protect the data they process.

Cookies

The website itself does not need cookies to work. Google Analytics and Google Ads set cookies; on this site they start only after you interact with the page (scroll, tap, move the mouse or press a key). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or turn off Google Analytics with the official add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

How long we keep your data

We keep booking requests and messages for as long as needed to handle your request and your trip, and after that only as long as required for accounting and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data earlier, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit or stop its use, or send it to you in a portable format. You have these rights under the Thai Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, if you are in the European Union, under the GDPR. To use them, write to info@charterkrabi.com; we will answer as soon as possible. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.

Security

The whole site works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to booking requests is limited to our team and the owner of the boat you book.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our site or services change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
